Berto's email ends with "The only constant is change." I have a new saying, "The only constant in the media is inconsistency."
So, let me get this straight. In 2005, the associated press (and everyone else) jumped all over Bush for spending $40m on his inauguration and that was when the economy was in good shape.
Lets fast forward to 2009. The AP now pulls a 180 on Obama's 45m cost for his inauguration. “For inaugural balls, go for glitz, forget economy,”.
If you want to give Bush a hard time for spending $40m, I am fine with that. Be consistent. Do not turn around and then say it is okay for Obama for spend $45m. ARGH!

annoying - but predictable.
I would like to get my share of the 45m back please. I accept cash. I don't think I would trust a check from the government not to bounce at this point.
Even I agree..
